How does it work?

The Accent XL Laser is an FDA approved treatment that uses Unipolar and Bipolar radio frequencies. The Bipolar device smooths out wrinkles, while the Unipolar can go under the skin where fat and cellulite reside.

The RF waves are applied to the skin with a unique handset that is in constant motion. Due to the motion and the cooling tip on the handset, patients feel only a soothing warmth as the RF waves do their work – stimulating new collagen formation, tightening the superficial layers of the skin, and breaking down fat and cellulite in the skin’s sub-dermal layer.

It is a painless procedure. There is generally some redness following the treatment. There is no recovery time needed, no pain, or irritation in the days after the treatment. The appearance of your skin will continue to improve for weeks following a session.

The number of treatments you will receive varies depending on the conditions you are addressing and the severity of damage to the skin. Four to six treatments are recommended for most people to achieve the results they are looking for. Treatments are spaced four weeks apart. Improvement in skin tone and appearance is noticeable within days, but the long-term results will be visible one to two months after the treatment.

Schedule an appointment for a FREE skincare assessment. It is important to feel comfortable in your own skin, and this is an excellent option for those looking for lasting results without enduring invasive procedures.

Pixel Skin Resurfacing

Pixel Skin Resurfacing — Before And After A Pixel Skin Resurfacing On Woman in Tarrant County, TX
Age brings scars, spots, and wrinkles – your skin takes a lot of damage throughout your life, but thanks to modern technology, you can improve the appearance of your skin and look years younger.

Pixel Skin Resurfacing is one of the tools available at AlecXander Medical Spa. It is a good option for those looking to reduce the signs of aging. Fine lines, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, and sun damage all contribute to the ‘aged’ appearance of your skin. Pixel Skin Resurfacing can erase some of the damage.
How does it work?

Using a hand-held device, controlled laser pulses enter the skin at different levels, thereby creating new collagen at different depths. This is important as this is not a technique that merely affects the surface of the skin. This will tighten the skin and remove unwanted blemishes, wrinkles, and blotches, and it will make your skin tone even – the way you want it.

The actual process:

First, we will remove all makeup and do a deep skin cleansing. Then, a numbing cream is applied – it is not a painful process in the hands of a trained medical aesthetician. You will hear beeping from the hand-held device and there will be a prickling sensation as the pixel laser penetrates your skin. After about an hour, thick moisturizing cream is applied. Times can vary depending on the amount of skin being treated, but it is about as time-consuming as having your teeth cleaned.

Your skin will heal quickly. After the numbness wears off, you will experience a sensation like a sunburn for about one day. There will be redness for 3-4 days. Your skin will feel tight, and there will be peeling. This is all completely normal. Continued use of thick moisturizing cream will facilitate the healing process.

By day five, you can apply makeup again and return to your normal routine. When a week has passed, your skin will be healthier. You will notice that you look younger and because cells are regenerating, you will continue to see improvement for weeks after the treatment.

IPL Photo Rejuvenation — Before And After A Facelift Operation On Man in Tarrant County, TX
Do you want to take decades off with a simple procedure, and not have gone under the knife?
Imagine having the ability to diminish the signs of aging, make your skin healthier, and look as young as you feel.
  • ClearLift™ Laser Facelift delivers controlled laser energy to the dermis without harming the overlying epidermis so that all stages of healing and skin repair occur under the outer layer of skin.
  • Treatments take as little as 20 minutes and visible results are seen after one treatment.
  • Three to six treatments is recommended for the best result. To learn more contact us today.
  • The ClearLift™ Laser Facelift promotes collagen growth and tightening with an amazing rejuvenating effect
  • It is Non-Invasive, and the recovery time is almost non-existent!
The ClearLift™ Laser Facelift is a laser treatment that passes through the surface of the skin creating tiny thermal channels to the dermis causing the skin to rapidly heal underneath the top layer of your skin. This allows collagen and elastin fibers to tighten without disturbing the surface of the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles will soften and become smoother, and youthful without having to worry about downtime.

Because ClearLift™ Laser Facelift does not harm the surface of the skin, it can be performed any time of the year and patients can have the treatment completed during a lunch break and return to work the same day. Patients notice rejuvenation as skin rids itself of jowls, fine lines, wrinkles, and overall sagginess.

What areas can benefit from the Clear Lift?

The ClearLift™ Laser Facelift targets areas with fine lines and wrinkles, and loss of collagen and elasticity. It is great for treating the areas around the eyes, cheeks, mouth, neck, and chest. ClearLift™ Laser Facelift can also be used on the arms, hands, back, buttocks, legs and even the ankles and feet! It can be used almost anywhere on the body to give the skin a nice lift. It is also great for tightening stretch marks and that loose belly skin that seems to never go away even with excessive exercising.
How long does the procedure take?
  • The ClearLift™ Laser Facelift is a safe, fast, and easy procedure that requires no downtime.
  • The time it takes to perform the procedure is determined by the area that is being treated.
  • Typically to treat the face, neck, and chest only takes about an hour.
  • You can apply makeup and return to work immediately following the treatment.

Photo Rejuvenation – Rosacea and Reddening

Your skin is your largest organ, and it protects you for your entire life. Cuts and scrapes are obvious examples, but your skin absorbs subtle damage all the time. UV light and pollution damages skin cells along with an unhealthy diet, alcohol consumption, and cigarettes.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) can remove damaged areas from your skin without disturbing the surface of the skin. It is a non-invasive and patient-friendly procedure. Gentle pulses of light – set to your specific needs – seek out imperfections and easily dilated vessels in the skin. There is sometimes a slight stinging, but it is not painful. Most find the stinging well worth the results – fewer lines, wrinkles, and spots and smoother, more even skin tone. IPL is the first step. The skin will then continue to heal itself over a period of months.

Medical Microdermabrasion

There are many ways to treat skin problems at the surface level, but Microdermabrasion is one of the least invasive, most effective methods to achieve softer, smoother, healthier-looking skin. At AlecXander Medical Spa, we perform Medical Microdermabrasion that will improve your appearance and benefit your health.

What is the difference between Medical Microdermabrasion and Microderm treatments you see advertised at salon spas? Medical Microdermabrasion can go deeper into the skin. It is a more aggressive treatment that is safe because it is performed by medical professionals.
Medical Microderm — Before And After A Medical Microderm At Skin Face in Tarrant County, TX
How does it work?

Your skin is made up of two layers: the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis is a shield – the outer layer of skin that protects you. Over time, acne scars, lines, sun damage, and age all take their toll on the epidermis. Your shield is doing its job, but you can take steps to remove the damage.

As you age, your skin loses its ability to slough off old skin at the same rate it does when you are young. Medical Microdermabrasion procedures once or twice a month can keep you looking your best by keeping dead skin cells from accumulating on the epidermis.

Medical Microdermabrasion is an in-demand procedure because it is fast, safe, and the results speak for themselves. At AlecXander Medical spa, you benefit from years of experience and the latest in skin-care technology.

Medical Microdermabrasion uses fine crystals to gently abrade the skin, removing the top layers of the epidermis.

By removing dead and damaged skin cells, you unearth healthy new skin. Dead skin cells are the key ingredient to a clogged pore which can later turn into an acne lesion. Removing these dead layers of skin will lessen your chance of a breakout. In addition, Medical Microdermabrasion stimulates cell division, generating fibroblast activity which results in the production of collagen – tightening your skin. The suction and vacuuming involved stimulating blood flow which brings oxygen and nutrients to the surface of the skin. At AlecXander Medical Spa, we finish off with a chemical peel that will attack the oils that clog pores and will aid in the removal of unwanted pigmentation.

Medical Microdermabrasion is non-invasive and painless. There is no downtime after the procedure, so your life can continue without interruption. Results happen gradually, but most patients notice a difference after just one treatment. As a bonus, with the removal of dead skin cells, your skincare products are up to 50% more effective at penetrating the skin, so moisturizers are more effective, and make-up will cover more evenly.

Chemical Peel

Why have a Chemical Peel? Refresh Your Skin

A chemical peel can make you look years younger by removing and softening fine lines, age spots, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, enlarged pores, and blemishes. A chemical peel is a safe and effective accelerated form of exfoliation that can smooth the skin’s surface by chemically removing the outer layers, which facilitates the formation of new skin cells. Chemical peels can rejuvenate the skin, eliminate blotchy patches and improve wrinkles through chemical exfoliation. You can choose from three peel depth levels, depending on the amount of skin damage. The effects of a chemical peel can often be enhanced with using proper skincare products and topical medications such as vitamin A.

How Is Chemical Peel Performed?

Prior to the peel, you will follow a special skincare regimen to prepare your skin. After your skin has been primed through skincare or Microdermabrasion, your skin will be cleansed, and a mild toner will be used to remove the natural surface oils. The agent is then applied to target the epidermis and dermis to remove the superficial layer of dead skin cells. After a time, your physician or skincare specialist will neutralize and remove the product. Your skin is cleaned, and a moisturizer and sunscreen are applied. Some chemical peels can be left on the skin because they are self-neutralizing and need to be kept on for a certain amount of time before being rinsed off. ALWAYS wear sunscreen prior to getting a chemical peel.

Types of Chemical Peels

For a light depth peel, the skin is prepared, and a mild chemical peel will be applied. The peel creates a healthy, refreshed appearance to the skin with no downtime because the living skin is left intact. As you heal, the old, damaged skin will shed off and be replaced by a layer of new healthy skin. A layer of collagen will also form below the skin surface to help tighten and smooth out your new skin.

Light peels do not require any anesthesia. For a medium depth peel, a stronger more concentrated chemical peel is applied so the deeper layer of skin, the dermis, will be affected. A few days after the acid is applied, the skin begins to shed layers of dead skin off. With medium peels, you will experience a dry, flaky feeling while the skin is healing. You are more likely to be slightly pink following a medium peel. This will subside in a few days. A medium depth peel can effectively improve facial wrinkles and sun-damaged skin. Medium peels are great for acne-prone skin.

For a deep depth peel, an even stronger chemical agent is used to penetrate the deep layer of the dermis. The peel targets deep and widespread wrinkles and extremely rough skin. It is used only in selected cases and is not recommended for darker-skinned patients but can be used on such skin if properly prepped with topical medications 6 to 8 weeks prior to the treatment. A sedative may be used to lessen any discomfort. Deep peels are great for getting rid of not only deep wrinkles and rough skin. They are also great for extreme cases of acne, hyperpigmented skin, uneven skin tone, scarring, and old acne marks that don’t seem to go away with skincare products alone. Deep chemical peels are also great for helping to reduce the appearance of large pores.
Who can benefit from a Chemical Peel?

Women and men with acne, superficial wrinkles of the face, neck, upper chest, and arms are excellent candidates for a chemical peel. Those concerned about uneven skin pigmentation, enlarged facial pores, sun damage, superficial acne scars and age spots may also benefit from a chemical peel. Young adults can also benefit from chemical peels when suffering from acne.

How do I decide which type of peel I should have?

Your Aesthetician/Doctor can help you decide what depth of the peel, what type of chemical solution is most appropriate, which areas you want to be peeled and will discuss desired results. A small test spot may be peeled to get a better idea of the results, especially for people with darker skin.

What is the healing process?

Your doctor or skincare specialist will send you home with specific after-care instructions for your newly rejuvenated facial skin. After light peels, the treated skin turns red or pink and heals without crusting. Healing typically occurs in 5 days or less. For medium depth peels, there may be some flaking during the healing process, which is typically completed within 1 to 2 weeks.

There may also be some redness, which can be covered with makeup and may persist for up to 3 or 4 weeks, depending on the individual's skin condition. For deep peels, your doctor will give you strict instructions. Avoid sun exposure with all types of peels and let your skin heal naturally – treat it gently and use only recommended cleansers and healing agents such as Peptides.

When will I be able to see the results?

You will start noticing pink, fresh skin emerging from under the peeling, damaged skin within the first few days. Patients should not help the peel along by pulling or rubbing the old skin off. Doing so can result in scarring or hyperpigmentation.

Within a few weeks, any pinkness will fade for most light peels. Depending upon the depth of the peel, you may have lingering pinkness that may look like a mild sunburn or flushed appearance. Your doctor or skincare specialist will recommend the type of peel most suitable to your skin type, skin condition, and your desired results.

How often should I have a chemical peel done?

Depending on what kind of change you are trying to achieve will determine what kind of peel and how often you should get one done. Your doctor or skincare specialist will be able to determine how many and how often is best for you. Some determining factors are, skin type, how much downtime or peeling are you willing to have, how often you are in the sun, and/or how extreme the acne is.

 Laser 360

The Laser 360 program is a laser therapy that consists of three different laser treatments over a two-month period. It is a perfect solution for patients that want to achieve clearer, more even skin without taking drastic steps such as a facelift. It is non-invasive and there is no long-term recovery time most patients return to their normal routine 7 days following treatment. Though you will see a drastic change after the 7 days is up, your skin will continue to improve over the next 2 months! When the two months are up, patients will notice that their skin is tauter, with better tone, texture, and color.

This system is highly specialized and incorporates laser and light therapy. They are used in conjunction to optimize results.

Accent XL Laser - Accent XL Laser is an FDA approved laser treatment system that uses radiofrequency technology. The Unipolar and Bipolar tips are used to penetrate heat into the skin causing skin tightening and collagen growth. This benefits the acne sufferer in 2 ways. One, the heat from the laser will kill bacteria that can cause an acne flare-up. Two, the heat from the Accent XL Laser produces blood flow which can help to speed up the healing process in an active acne breakout. Accent XL also builds collagen which can plump up areas where old acne has left acne scar indentations.

IPL SR 570 Module – A powerful IPL (intense pulsed light) laser, this will help improve vascular and pigmentation issues. This is aimed at improving acne, skin color, reducing age spots, eradicating sun damage, and treating the blood vessels that cause rosacea. It helps acne sufferers by killing bacteria and tightening pores as well as reduce redness in an active breakout.

Pixel 2940 Fractional Skin Resurfacing – Resurfacing improves the texture of your skin. Fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, and acne and chickenpox scars are all reduced to improve the overall appearance.
Using IPL and laser treatments, the skin is treated to ‘new life’, and optimal results can be achieved in a relatively short time. Laser light is emitted in a single, narrow wavelength – intense light and heat focused on a specific area. IPL technology delivers hundreds of wavelengths that are absorbed by wider areas of tissue allowing for treatment of multiple conditions simultaneously.

The program is safe and non-intrusive. It is customizable to the individual, so each patient’s needs can be addressed in an effective way. This program is designed to treat areas of the face: forehead, under the eyes, cheeks, upper lip, around the mouth, and the chest and neck.

Every treatment program differs according to the needs of the individual but generally consists of all three treatments in one visit. Though you will see great results with just one treatment, you may need to schedule a second appointment if you and your primary Laser Technician see fit to get the best results possible for your individual skin needs.

The treatments generally take an hour and a half to two hours and incorporate several different technologies as outlined in the plan established by the patient and care provider. Follow-up treatments may be necessary, but long-term results depend largely on a lifestyle change, i.e., excessive sun exposure, poor diet, illness, or smoking may undo some of the beneficial effects of the program. Touch-ups are discussed following the implementation of the individualized treatment plan.

As part of your complimentary skin analysis, these options will be discussed with other alternatives and therapies which will complement the Laser 360 program. Come in for a free analysis today and see if Laser 360 is right for you.

Laser Acne Treatment

Acne is the most common skin problem in the United States, affecting not only teenagers but up to 80% of people in their 20s and 30s. This stubborn condition is typically treated with oral and topical medications, which produce excellent results over time. One of the best ways to treat acne is through a series of chemical peels combined with Photo Rejuvenation.
  1. Photo Rejuvenation targets redness that previous and existing acne can leave behind.
  2. Photo Rejuvenation will go past the top layer of skin and destroy bacteria that can potentially cause an acne flare-up.
It will also slow down the production of sebum which can clog pores and cause future acne breakouts. Photo Rejuvenation reduces the appearance of pores which will lessen your chance of a breakout in the future. acne Treatments

What is acne? Acne is a common skin disease characterized by pimples on the face or anywhere on the body. It occurs when the pores of your skin become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. Approximately 75% of 11-30-year-old men and women will get acne at some point in their lifetime.

It most commonly affects adolescents and young adults. The primary cause could be a rise in androgen levels. These levels rise when a person becomes an adolescent. They cause the oil glands under the surface of your skin to grow, thus producing more oil. In some cases, acne can also be genetic.
What can make acne worse?
  1. Menstrual cycle for women
  2. Anxiety and stress
  3. Hot and humid climates
  4. Oil-based makeups
  5. Greasy hair
  6. Squeezing the pimples
